Use a water filter to remove contaminants before filling your tank or while connected.
To install a water filter on a garden hose, first ensure the hose is clean by flushing it to remove any debris. Attach the filter to the hose by connecting the “In” port of the filter to the end of the hose, using a hose washer if required. For models like the EcoOne® Hose Filter, no tools are needed; simply screw the filter onto the hose, insert the cartridge, and secure the cap. Connect the other end of the filter to the second hose or the device you’re filling, such as a spa. Before use, flush the system for one minute or until the water runs clear to remove any initial contaminants. Always store the filter indoors or insulate it during freezing weather to prevent damage.
